Daniel J. Schewe, CLU - Co-Chairman

A co-founder of the firm, Dan represents clients across a broad spectrum in the negotiation and ongoing management of their Employee Benefit Programs. These Benefit Programs include Life, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Medical and Dental plans. His expertise in funding of these plans covers the entire range including traditional pooled rating, retention accounting, minimum premium and self-funding with or without specific and aggregate stop-loss protection.

He is experienced in medical delivery models including traditional indemnity, Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO), Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPO) and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) on both a discounted-fee-for-service and capitated basis.

Prior to the creation of Chapman Schewe, he served as the Regional Director of Employee Benefits for Lincoln National Life, managing their Houston, San Antonio and Austin offices. Prior to that position, he was Vice-President of Sales for Entrust (a Houston-based TPA) and held several positions with Lincoln National.
